The
master bedroom and
en-suite bath
is furnished with a king bed, TV, garden tub with separate shower, Toto bidet commode, and infra-red sauna.
Bedroom two
has a king and a queen bed, and full guest bath.
Bedroom three
has a king bed, TV and sitting area.
The den
has a TV, recliner, and a pullout sofa. It opens to a fenced side yard perfect for game of croquet or bocce. The den and bedroom three share a full guest bath.
The loft
looks over the great room, has a computer desk, foosball table, 2 queen futons and 1 double futon.
The studio o'hana
is approximately 18 X 18 square ft., and is not attached to the house, but is just a few steps away. It can be included for $50 per night. It has two twin beds, a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and a large deck with an ocean view and outdoor seating. The studio is attached to the tropical outdoor shower area.
The gourmet kitchen
features high-end stainless appliances, with a gas range on the island. The kitchen is stocked with an abundance of cooking items perfect for the chef in the family. There are two adjoining dining areas and two bar areas with everything you could need to set a beautiful table. The kitchen also has a small TV.
The wet bar
is equipped with a drink cooler, welcome drinks, and an assortment of wine and cocktail glasses.
If you prefer to cook and dine on the
lanai, we have a large stainless gas grill, and an Evo grill. There is plenty of seating. One teak dining table seats 6, another bar height teak table seats 4 and the round cushioned seating with the fire table seats 6.
Tropical gardens surround the home on the spacious one acre lot. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the orchid garden, herb garden and extensive assortment of flowers and fruit trees including, papaya, lemon, lime apple-banana, fig, and mango.
The multi-level
pool
with waterfalls, and a fountain, as well as the hot tub have been recently remodeled with new travertine tile, new plaster, and LED color-changing lights. The pool typically stays in the low to mid 70's and the hot tub around 102. The hot tub can be adjusted upon request.
To make you feel right at home,
we provide
a welcome basket full of local goodies, welcome drinks in the bar, books to read, games to play, kuerig and regular coffee starters, laundry and dish detergent, iron and ironing board, paper goods, spices, oils and other kitchen basics, starter shampoos, conditioners, lotions and soaps, hairdryers and makeup mirrors, resort-style bathrobes, plenty of hangers, extra pillows and blankets, beach chairs, snorkel sets, towels, boogie boards, sand toys, umbrellas, coolers and so much more.
Our home is in a quiet residential area, and therefore we do not offer it for weddings, student spring breakers, meetings or parties. The enjoyment of the house, pool etc. is limited to the individuals listed on the rental agreement. The leaseholder must be at least 25 years old and be occupying the property during the stay. There is no subletting allowed. ID may be required at check-in.
Smoking and pets are not allowed.
We welcome well-behaved children.
However, please remember that this is our personal home for part of the year and has many breakable items, a very accessible pool, and is not child proof. We do not recommend this home for children who do not swim or children who would be disrespectful in any way (ex. no jumping on beds, wet suits or towels on furniture, wrestling or rough-housing inside, yelling or disturbances that may bother the neighbors etc.) Also, please help us avoid spills, stains, and pests by limiting children to eating and drinking only in dining areas and outside. We ask that you use your discretion as to whether this home is appropriate for your children.
Also a quick note about our animal friends :)
Geckos: Because of the tropical climate and vegetation in Hawaii you are likely to see our friends the geckos. They are a beautiful bright green with a few magenta spots. They have no teeth, are harmless, and considered good luck on the islands because they eat harmful insects. They are most easily spotted outside by lights waiting for dinner, but can fit through the smallest openings and are sometimes seen inside as well. If you see one inside and prefer not to have its company, please just toss a hand towel over it and release it into the gardens.
Birds: There are many birds around the house and throughout the neighborhood including Brazilian cardinals, finches, doves, exotic pheasants, chickens, and others. While they are fabulous to watch and a favorite part of the tropics, they can also be noisy for light sleepers. We recommend adding a sleep app to any smart phone or bringing earplugs if you think you might be bothered.
The home is located at 1100 foot elevation which is known for near ideal temperatures year around. Like most homes in our area, we do not have AC or heat, however there are ceiling fans in all the rooms, as well as extra fans and blankets if the temperature is warmer or cooler than you prefer.
There are 3 smart-home features installed. 2 Nest doorbells, one at the front door and one at the side door (both facing parking areas); and a smart lock , that will be programmed with a code to unlock the door for your convenience.
The owners or a caretaker will be on site who can address any issues that may arise during your stay.
